How To Create a Testimonial Block in Squarespace

Hey friends! Yes, it has been a long time since I have posted anything. I have been so busy rebranding and refreshing my brand and website. But forget all of that, I have a new tutorial for you. 

It is a squarespace hack!!! You will learning how to create testimonial block for your Squarespace template. It works for every template, so no worries. If you have question just comment below!

You can follow this tutorial in three ways.  You can go through the written steps. You can take a look at the slides. Or you can watch the video and follow along with me as I show you how to accomplish this Squarespace Hack! 

Initial Steps

  1.  Click on the "PAGES" tab.
  2.  Under the "NOT LINKED" section of your pages, add a new blog by clicking on the "+". 

  3. Rename the blog as "Testimonials" or "Kudos" or what you would like to call it to differentiate from your regular blog. 

  4. Click on the "+" to add a new entry. 

  5. In the title form, put in the author of the testimonial, i.e the name of the person who sent you kudos.

  6. In the content box, enter your the wonderful things the person said about you. You can format this in anyway you would like. 

    • Here you can add more info or go in more depth about the project you did for the person.

  7. Copy and paste the the kudos in the excerpt box along with the author's name and their link. You can also add a picture of the author as well.

    • I will explain later why you will need the kudos in both places. 

  8. Save and Publish it.

Adding it to a page

  1. Go to the page where you want your testimonials to be displayed. 
  2. Add a header for your new testimonial block. 
  3. Under the header, add a summary block for your "kudos" blog. 
  4. Choose the "Carousel" layout. 
  5. You can choose to night have a picture. But I would toggle off everything else except for "Show Excerpt".
  6. Used the the spacer blocks to format the size of your new testimonial block.
  7. You can change how many items you want to show per row.

And VOILA! you have a Squarepace Testimonial Block!


You now have an actual testimonials/kudos page that people can view. This page will allow you to go in more depth about what you did for your customer or client, show ing them why they gave you kudos!
